O Awla D'neshe - Shamasha Athniel Maqdis
Shamasha Athniel Maqdis
A hymn in commemoration of St. John the Baptist, performed by my father, Deacon Athniel Muqaddas, in 1998, using a simple audio recording technique, with accompaniment by Saad Zai. My father's voice possessed a beautiful, Eastern sweetness in liturgical performance, a quality that always distinguished him. I pray that the Lord grants him continued health, well-being, and peace, and that the Lord blesses his noble service. Please excuse the poor recording quality due to its age and the limited resources available for recording it (25 years ago). - Qasha Shmoel Maqdis
